Who is the old friend you met?
The Buddha of the present age.
Logically speaking, a Buddhist should be saving all living beings in some corner of the secular world, but he appeared in the seventh heaven of the path to enlightenment, which is rather strange and not very reasonable.
Seeking resources and becoming stronger through cultivation were not the aspirations of a Buddhist. Now, he only wanted to save the people of all races who were still in dire straits.
Many years ago, the ancient half-Buddha stepped into the ancient road of Yuanchu. The Buddha’s disciples came to see him off, and then his whereabouts were unknown.
Now that he had sensed the aura of the Buddha, there was no reason for Chen Qingyuan not to see it.
It transformed into a white rainbow, penetrating the sky for countless miles.
Cross thousands of stars and reach the place where the Buddha is.
From a distance, the surface of this star is covered with a thin layer of mist.
The color is pitch black, and a few strands of Sanskrit are flowing in the mist.
After taking a closer look, I found that the Sanskrit characters with shining Buddha light were shuttling back and forth in the fog, as if struggling to break free from the confinement and find a way out.
Chen Qingyuan frowned, having a bad feeling.
"bass!"
In the blink of an eye, he penetrated the void and landed on this ancient star.
There is no land on the surface of the stars, only ocean.
There is no island to settle on the sea, it is completely empty. If an ordinary person were in this place, he would be extremely frightened.
The Buddhist disciple, wearing a simple light yellow robe and a pair of light-colored cloth shoes, stood on the sea, with his hands clasped together and his eyes closed, chanting scriptures.
Hundreds and thousands of Sanskrit words with special meanings surround the body of the Buddha.
Wherever you step, ripples will occasionally appear, which have a Buddhist rhythm and are full of mystery.
"clatter!"
Chen Qingyuan arrived and stood a hundred feet away from the Buddhist disciple.
Stand beside the Buddha, look at his profile, observe intently, and remain silent.
After a long time, the Buddhist opened his eyes and looked straight ahead, without looking at Chen Qingyuan who was standing not far from him.
After a moment, I don’t know what the Buddhist disciple saw, but a line of tears slid down from his left eye, leaving a faint tear mark on his cheek.
At this moment, Chen Qingyuan's heart trembled violently, his pupils contracted rapidly, and his lips parted slightly.
I have known Fozi for so many years, but this is the first time I have seen him cry.
He must have suffered a great blow or encountered something extremely sad.
"I am a poor monk, and I cannot save the people of the world."
The Buddha's voice was particularly hoarse, as if he was holding a handful of sand in his hand, and with a little force, the sand squeezed out from between his fingers.
"Why do you have such an idea?"
Chen Qingyuan stood still, with one hand behind his back and the other hanging at his side, with his ten fingers clenched into a fist.
"I went to a place I've been to before and found...nothing has changed."
A few years ago, a Buddhist returned to his hometown to see what the place he had saved had become. It would have been better if he hadn't gone, but when he went, he was shocked, his Buddhist heart was shaken, and he fell into deep confusion.
Those places where unrest was quelled by Buddhists soon returned to their original state.
Therefore, the Buddhist began to reflect on himself and ask himself: What is the meaning of everything he has done over the years?
Do we really have to follow the method of Master Jingyuan to bring about a complete change?
Monk Jingyuan is the half-Buddha who stepped into the ancient road of Yuanchu. His philosophy is both good and evil. He spreads Buddhism to control people's thoughts, so as to eliminate greed, anger, ignorance and hatred, and reduce conflicts and killings.
This method is almost evil.
Therefore, although Monk Jingyuan clearly had the qualifications to become a true Buddha, he was never successful and was stuck halfway.
Buddhists do not agree with Monk Jingyuan's approach, believing that he deprives people of their independent thinking and reduces them to a half-human, half-puppet state, which is similar to the methods of evil practitioners.
The only difference is that the evil cultivators manipulated the world to satisfy their own selfish desires, either turning them into slaves or food, while Monk Jingyuan wanted to solve the root of killing and let the worldly creatures live in peace.
Different starting points will naturally lead to different results.
If Monk Jingyuan had any other ideas, he would never reach the state of half-Buddha.
"Does what I do have any meaning?"
The Buddhist recalled the lives of all races trapped in the quagmire and felt sorry for them. He was asking Chen Qingyuan, but also asking himself.
All living beings in the world have seven emotions and six desires. The possibility of expecting them to control themselves and not stir up trouble and trigger wars is almost zero.
Through the Buddha's preaching and enlightenment, that area can be peaceful in a short period of time.
After a long time, what has happened will happen again, like reincarnation, never ending.
Buddhists do not want to use magic to control all living beings in the world, but they want to change the world.
It's idealistic, but unrealistic.
"Have!"
Chen Qingyuan's tone was firm and resounding.
"I have been to the area under the jurisdiction of Qing Sect. Riots rarely occur. Even if conflicts occur, they will be quelled as quickly as possible and handled impartially. Moreover, the cultivation world and the secular world are divided and governed, and they interfere with each other in an orderly manner."
The Buddhist turned slowly and looked at Chen Qingyuan. When he talked about this experience, there was a lot of admiration in his words.
Lin Changsheng's management skills are considered to be the best in the world.
Chen Qingyuan admires this aspect very much.
"Use force to deter and use system to restrain. This method is feasible, but it is not the way of Buddhism."
Then, the Buddhist spoke again.
Chen Qingyuan: "As long as the method is correct, why bother with these things."
The Buddhist thought deeply and remained silent. He knew what Chen Qingyuan said made sense, but he was just a little confused.
If we rely solely on force to restrain the world and create a superficially peaceful world, when the force is gone, everything will return to normal without any fundamental changes.
Falling into confusion, I embarked on the path of enlightenment again, realized the truth here, and sought a clear direction.
I have been staying here for more than ten years, but I didn't expect Chen Qingyuan to come looking for me.
"If the Buddhist way is useless, then what is the point of having it?"
For a long time, the Buddhist tried his best to control his emotions and said this sentence in a trembling voice.
If a Buddhist fails to figure out this problem, his or her Buddhist heart is likely to collapse, with disastrous consequences.
Faced with this situation, Chen Qingyuan clenched his hands, pursed his lips, and did not respond for the time being.
The sea was calm and silent.
"It is not my wish to mislead the people."
After a while, the Buddhist continued with a solemn look on his face.
"It is not my wish to suppress it by force."
“What I pray for is that all living beings become awake and no longer ignorant.”
“It’s not about asking people to cut off their emotions, but about recognizing their true nature, controlling themselves, and not being swayed by desires.”
"If conflicts arise over trivial matters, stay sober, take a step back, and everyone will be happy. If there is hatred that cannot be resolved, there is no need to put down the butcher knife in your hand."
"The Western Paradise is a beautiful imaginary place created by the Buddhist sages. It does not exist in the world..."
Because the person in front of him was Chen Qingyuan, the Buddhist said a lot.
Let's speak out the thoughts deep in our heart.
Having someone to talk to helps me feel better.
Chen Qingyuan knew that Buddhist disciples were under a lot of pressure, so he looked at him seriously and listened patiently.
